About
I'm Susana.
I'm the creator behind That Porsche Woman, where I document American life one road at a time.
Raised on the city streets of Los Angeles, California, and now living among the backroads of Tennessee, I've spent a lifetime observing the people, places, and everyday moments that quietly define this country.
Before Tennessee backroads, my life took me around the world. I modeled internationally with Elite, living and working in Tokyo while traveling throughout Asia and Europe. Those years immersed me in different cultures, design, and craftsmanship—experiences that continue to influence everything I create today.
I later founded my own fashion company and designed my collections from a 3,000-square-foot studio in downtown Los Angeles on Broadway. My first fashion show was featured by the Los Angeles Times, and my work continued to receive recognition as my career grew.
I was invited to New York Fashion Week, but I consciously chose not to move forward with it. It wasn't because I couldn't—it was because I knew my life was taking me in a different direction. I've never been afraid to walk away from one chapter to begin another. The door was never closed. I simply chose a different road. If life ever leads me back, it will be because I choose that road again.
Along the way, I also worked as a SAG actor, professional photographer, entrepreneur, and served as Vice Chair of the Costume Council at LACMA.
Serving as Vice Chair of the Costume Council at LACMA opened the door to one of my greatest passions: the history of clothing and craftsmanship. It gave me the opportunity to travel, study museum collections, visit private archives, and experience extraordinary garments behind the scenes at museums and private collections around the world. Those experiences deepened my appreciation for history, design, and the stories every object carries.
Looking back, I realize that passion never really changed. Whether it's a centuries-old garment, a handcrafted Porsche, a vintage truck, or a forgotten road, I've always been drawn to craftsmanship, history, and the stories they preserve. That's the thread connecting everything I've done—and it's the foundation of That Porsche Woman.
I'm also a mother of three including one adopted child. That part of my life has shaped me every bit as much as my careers ever did. It taught me resilience, perspective, and the importance of paying attention to what truly matters.
At some point, I realized I wasn't interested in documenting status anymore.
I was interested in documenting life.
My love of driving started long before I ever had a driver's license. What began as a fascination with the road became a collection of stories gathered through Porsches, trucks, motorcycles, photography, and thousands of miles across America.
Today, I continue building the That Porsche Woman brand, including creating its original logo and the products that carry it.
The hats aren't just hats. They're pieces of a journey.
Every logo, every detail, and every design choice reflects a lifetime in fashion, photography, world travel, and the open road. They carry the experiences that shaped me—from downtown Los Angeles to Tokyo, from fashion studios to country roads, from city life to rural America.
This project isn't about destinations.
It's about what happens between them.
Today, that perspective shows up differently—not on a runway or a stage—but on forgotten roads, in small towns, and in the quiet moments most people drive past. Every mile tells a story if you're willing to slow down long enough to see it.
Outside of That Porsche Woman, I continue creating through photography and ASMR. Across every project, the common thread remains the same: documenting real life with honesty, curiosity, and respect.
No drama. No rush. No performance.
Every road has a story. I'm here to document it.
City raised. Country chosen.
I don't comment. I document.
